We have been taking daily pictures of everyone here in the office to keep you up to date on our Movember progress. Rather than bring in a dedicated camera to accomplish this we have been taking pictures with our iPhones. We've actually been doing an awful lot of Movember-related activities with our iPhones and we want to share with you the apps we're using to do them.

Dropbox

The final app we used to bring you Movember updates using an iPhone is Dropbox. Dropbox is a free service that lets you save files easily to the cloud. They also happen to have an iPhone app. Many other apps and services integrate Dropbox into their own, and Genius Scan+ is one of those. Genius Scan+ lets us send our cropped photos to a folder on Dropbox so we can make final adjustments to images in Photoshop on our desktop computer. Because Dropbox integrates so well on desktops running Mac, Windows, and even Linux, it's easy to share files between multiple computers, and even between different Dropbox accounts. If you want to share files with your students, spouses, or web developers, Dropbox makes it as easy to do that as dragging files into your Dropbox folder on one computer. The files will automatically pop up on the other. Dropbox offers 2 GB of space with a free account, and if you register through this link, you'll get an extra 250 MB of bonus space. They also offer plans of 100 GB or more, so you can get as much space as you need to save all of your files to the cloud.
