When you start a blog, it’s important to understand that you need a plan. Some objectives. Know your audience and keep them coming back with relevant, timely information. Here at Apis we had a plan. Well, in fact, we still have that same plan. The difficulty is following through.
So how can we remedy this? How can we ensure that our blog gets posted to reguarly? Some ideas:
- Setup a recurring reminder in your email application.
- Create a Google Alert that will send you summary updates on the same schedule as your postings are to be.
- Incorporate the postings into another scheduled task, such as a weekly meeting.
- Post whenever you get inspired, rather than on a rigid schedule.
As you can see by the date of our last posting, we experience these issues as much as anyone else. We get distracted doing our ‘jobs’; it happens (thankfully). Hopefully we can incorporate some of these ideas into our routine, and hopefully you’ll be seeing more frequent posts here in the future.
