A Fresh Aesthetic for an Age-Old Industry

Petroleum consultancy GLJ approached APIS with aim of creating a new skin for its web assets in 2011. The company had existing branding collateral that would be maintained through this process and a number of disparate login locations and web assets that needed to be brought together through this new web interface.
While balancing old brand identity with the notion of a "new look" is always tricky, GLJ can be commended for their internal management of the design process. The result was one of the quickest web deployments of a new design in APIS' history. Of course, we're hoping to get our hands on the IA and Identity at some point to tie up the interface's loose ends, but we're happy with the worker bees' ability to take cues from an existing brand and leverage them into a new aesthetic.
